This goes back to report the hail that accompanied the major wind and rain of June 4, 2010 in the Towar Garden neighborhood, an area of only a few square blocks in northwest Meridian Twp. I didn't witness it falling, I was in the basement cowering with the dog! This was the wind storm that brought down approximately 200 trees in the neighborhood. We have photos of the hail. We also have several pie tins that were outside and were dented by the hail. There was roughly 50% coverage of the ground by the hail in some places, small piles of it along the wood fence. Some of the hail was not melted by the next day, and the next day was still foggy from the hail on the ground. |
