10 minutes of intense lightning and thunder came first. Hail began as nickel size and then mixed with quarter size followed by a lot of pea size covering the ground and mounding near roads and buildings (still there 9 hours later). Heavy rain followed. Larger hail was flat like thick coins. Air temp was 37 degrees. |
