Most of the hail was oddly shaped, rough, weird looking. But the largest - the 1" hail - was spherical and smooth.
(It was interesting to see that all the hail marks were small given the average size of hail listed above. I wonder if this has to due with the shape being odd as suggested above. Most of these will be counted as small stones even though it's likely that many of them were larger. PG) |
