Notes: |
Was away but saw storm from Silver Spring, so I know it was around 5pm. The hail pad has numerous oblong marks, around 1/4 to 1/2 inch in the long axis. None were deep enough to puncture the foil. I deduce that the stones making the marks were hard and were smaller than the marks left, and were probably rice-shaped but larger falling with the long axis oriented horizontally. There was a report of penny size hail one mile north of my location. |
