Given time of year, would have expected graupel. However, this precipitation was mostly smooth, opaque/white, and hard, bouncing on contact with roof. No associated damage, rain. Wind was briefly faster after the hail stopped. On my observation plate, most were smooth, although a few had a feathered surface. |
