Over the past week, we experienced very calm conditions with no measurable rainfall. The skies were mostly clear to partly sunny, though coastal stratus clouds did occasionally dominate the view, softening the sunlight.
Looking ahead, we're expecting slightly gusty winds from the north on Sunday and into Sunday night, with gusts reaching around 30–32 mph. Although these winds fall below advisory criteria, they might create a fun kite-flying opportunity!
Since May 1, we've recorded just 0.65 inches of rain—about 33% below our usual average. With no significant precipitation expected in the next week and as we fully transition into summer, dry conditions are likely to continue. If any rainfall does occur, it might only be isolated, light showers early in the fall during a weak monsoonal phase, which won't offset the current deficit.
See you all next week, and thank you for reading.
