Decided to elevate to Severely Dry this week. Rainfall deficits of 3.10" for the water year so far, which is 10% of normal. More significant deficits exists dating back to the summer. There has also been an uptick of brush fires over the past week, with seeing a few in the area. Forest understory is quite dry with dead/dormant/stressed vegetation. Traveling in the local area shows many streams dry or very low.
