Winter has definitely arrived as almost all the precipitation across the past week was in the form of snow with 9.8" in total recorded across 5 days; there is currently a 7.2" snowpack with more coming down as I type this note. There's been a mix of heavier, more dense snow with lighter, more fluffy snow; the latter has been more common. Little to no observed wildlife activity except for my cadre of wild birds at the window feeder. Most lakes are now frozen over although the ice is still very thin. It is great to see the boreal forest shrouded in a cloak of pristine white! Although we could still see some warmer temps and even rain the shift towards winter precipitation is definitely underway...
