Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: OK-KY-30
Station Name: Ponca City 0.4 NNW
Report Date: 11/4/2024
Submitted: 11/04/2024 5:49 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
We have had nearly 3 inches of rain over the past 7 days after a very dry previous 3 months. My yard is not as soggy as it normally would be after this much rain, but the cool season grass has greened up and the large cracks in the ground have closed. The area lakes are still very low. Area ponds are also still low as the rain was slow enough that it had time to soak in and not run off too much. Plowed wheat fields are a muddy mess now. Wheat that has already been planted was helped greatly. The fire danger has gone from sky high to very low, but we are still under a burn ban.
