you may wonder why I checked Mildly dry...because a few rain events that make it wet for a few days does NOT end a drought, it is weakened but not broken.  Example, we still have not had runoff from the rains.  In the meantime, land work has stopped as it has made it smeary on top, but it will resume quickly once this last line goes through today.  Feeding the cattle has begun in earnest now.  Fire risk is low.  Dry ponds still dry...
