Hiking in nearby Poinsett State Park on 31 Oct showed very dry forest floor leaf litter, barely trickling streams, curled/dry Resurrection Ferns and soil dry down a couple inches. Roadside ditches/swamps dry or nearly so. Fall leaves turning colors and falling. Many lawns really needing rain. Wateree River very low.
